Slum and Rural Health Initiative

Health Equity in Action

We operate one of Africa’s largest mental health programs for young people, delivering services in underserved communities, schools, and migrant camps in Nigeria and Sierra Leone.

We envision an Africa where mental health care is universally accessible through digital and community-based solutions. We bring together health professionals, individuals with lived experience, youth leaders, digital health and AI innovators, researchers, and social scientists to co-create solutions that expand access, reduce stigma, and strengthen mental well-being across communities.

We believe lasting impact comes from deep collaboration with governments, schools, funders, health facilities, and communities—building models that governments (or institutions) can own, institutionalize, and scale nationally.

Our Priorities

Mental Health and Wellbeing

We prioritize accessible, culturally relevant mental health support that strengthens emotional resilience and promotes overall wellbeing, especially among underserved populations.

We leverage digital health tools, AI, and data-driven solutions to improve access to care, enhance decision-making, and drive scalable health innovations.

We promote gender equality by addressing systemic barriers, amplifying marginalized voices, and supporting inclusive programs that empower women and girls.

We work with communities, not just for them—building local capacity, fostering participation, and supporting grassroots action for sustainable change.

We generate and apply high-quality research to inform policy, strengthen programs, and ensure interventions are guided by evidence and real-world impact.

Our Flagship Programs

Since 2021, we have led one of Africa's largest mental health services and programs for young people in underserved communities in Nigeria and Sierra Leone. We partner with the government, schools, and communities to scale our impact.
