Slum and Rural Health Initiative Network, SRHIN takes on Kaduna State for her Cholera Prevention outreach today at Ungwan Machibi, a rural community in Kaduna State northern Nigeria.
The outreach involved an educative session on water, sanitation, hygiene and cholera prevention to the over 70 participants including the Community Leader, Local police head, among others. The interactive educational session was taught in Hausa language by SRHIN’s Northern Regional Coordinator, Daniel Mark along with SRHIN volunteers in Kaduna.
The outreach is part of Slum and Rural Health Initiative Network’s projects to alleviating or curbing the spread of Cholera in rural areas and slums. To put action to words, after the sensitization, relief package which contained materials for hand washing and sanitation were distributed to all those that attended.
