SRHIN Annual Impact Report

Message from our Founder

I am filled with profound appreciation for the incredible impact we have collectively achieved in 2023. Each one of you, our incredible Country- Coordinators, our dedicated State Health Equity Champions, our amazing volunteers, and our transformative funders and partnershave been a force for inspiring hope, transforming communities, and saving precious lives.

SRHIN’s work reached Aisha, whose parents were murdered by brutal terrorists in the internally displaced person’s camps in Northern Nigeria, who received mental health support, and Florence, who did not know about the mpox virus in Southern Nigeria. Aisha and Florence are just two of the 1.6 million people we have reached since SRHIN was founded in 2017.

In 2023, we conducted health projects in over 120 communities across Africa, led Nigeria’s community health efforts against the mpox virus on the Canada-Africa mpox project in partnership with researchers from the University of Toronto, the Nigerian Institute for Medical Research (NIMR), IHVN, among others, onboarded 35 State Health Equity Champions, trained over 110 researchers in our Research Academy, presented our work in over 30 international conferences traveling to 13 countries across 5 continents (Europe, Africa, North America, Australia and Asia), and published over 30 academic studies in international peer-reviewed journals, including the Lancet journals, among others.
We did not stop there, we premiered our first ever documentary entitled ‘My Safe Place’, produced our first song entitled, ‘My Diamond Friend’ and expanded our operations to Rwanda. Hence, we are now officially registered in 5 countries in Africa (Nigeria, Ethiopia, The Gambia, Sierra Leone and Rwanda).

Explore our portfolio of recent and long-lasting projects dedicated to providing meaningful, sustainable solutions, aimed at bringing high-quality healthcare services and vital information directly to the residents of marginalized slums and underserved communities in Africa.
