About 12,500 adolescents in 50 secondary schools in Nigeria were trained on the dangers and prevention of NCDs within nine months. The project leverages a task-shifting and peer-to-peer training model where trained medical students (NCD champions) will be paired to “adopt” a secondary school in their community that has a population of at least 500 adolescents. These NCD champions will establish NCD/physical activity clubs in the selected schools
