Community Against Sexual Violence

About one-third of women living in IDP Camps had experienced a form of SGBV

Violence against women and girls is a global epidemic, causing devastating harm to individuals and communities alike. It robs women and girls of their basic human rights and dignity, impeding their ability to live fulfilling and meaningful lives. The impact of this violence is felt not just by the victims themselves, but also by their families, friends, and wider communities.

Sadly, many women who are living in poverty face even greater challenges in their struggle to escape violence. This includes limited access to resources and support networks, as well as fewer options for seeking justice and holding perpetrators accountable. This further exacerbates the cycle of poverty and violence that many women find themselves trapped in.

Every woman, regardless of her age, race, social or economic status, deserves to live a life free from violence and fear. It is our collective responsibility to work towards creating a world where this is possible. By raising awareness, providing support, and advocating for change, we can help ensure that every woman has the right to live a life free from violence and achieve her full potential.

What is SRHIN doing to address this Issue?
