Combating Hepatitis B in Vulnerable and Historically Marginalized Communities Through Education, Free Screening, Vaccination, and Comprehensive Care for a Healthier Tomorrow
Project Features

Hepatitis B Education & Sensitization Campaigns
The project involves a comprehensive educational campaign focused on enlightening community members about the importance of hepatitis B vaccination, prevention strategies, and available treatment options. This includes door-to-door campaigns to ensure thorough understanding. Influential community leaders, including religious figures and women leaders, will be central in spearheading and leading the educational campaign.

Free Hepatitis B Screening
As part of this project, free hepatitis B screening services will be offered to the community members by medical professionals, aiding in early detection and diagnosis.

Vaccination Drive
Through the vaccination drive, numerous pregnant women, lactating and mothers of children under five years of age, internally displaced persons will be provided with the hepatitis B vaccine

Referral & Linkage
Individuals who test positive for hepatitis B during the screening will be linked to health facilities (Secondary and Tertiary) where they can access free or subsidized specialized care and treatment.
