Blog Post

Slum and Rural Health Initiative recently conducted a transformative program in Toto Local Government, focusing on women’s health and rights advocacy. SRHIN (SimbiHealth) Women leader and their group reached out to 500 women, they raised awareness, provided education, and fostered empowerment among participants.

The program encompassed a series of interactive sessions, which covered a wide array of topics relevant to women’s health and rights. Expert facilitators led discussions on reproductive health, maternal care, family planning, and gender-based violence, offering crucial information and guidance to the women.

The SimbiHealth Women Leaders and their group emphasized the importance of advocating for women’s rights and encouraged active participation in community advocacy efforts. Participants were equipped with knowledge and tools to assert their rights, challenge gender norms, and advocate for policies that promote gender equality and women’s empowerment.

Slum and Rural Health Initiative seeks to catalyze positive change within the community by empowering women to take control of their health and assert their rights. By building a foundation of knowledge and advocacy skills, we can create a more equitable and inclusive society where women can thrive.
